As a board member and a parent, I have been deeply concerned about the negative impacts of excessive technology use on our children. We’re seeing significant effects on learning abilities and behavior, especially among younger students, due to too much screen time. While technology is a valuable tool, it’s crucial to manage how and how much we use it.
My goal is to collaborate with teachers, staff, parents, and students to find a balanced approach that integrates technology effectively without compromising face-to-face interactions.
We need to ensure that technology enhances, rather than hinders, our children’s education.
I remain committed to helping every child in our district reach their highest potential and believe in their ability to achieve their goals. I understand that a four-year college degree is not the only path to success, and our community offers many alternative opportunities. That’s why I’m committed to actively working with organizations and local businesses to provide our students with diverse experiences and options.
